Since joining forces in September 2007, BOOMSHINE has rapidly earned
a growing reputation as one of the premier country acts in the Black Hills
area. When asked about the enthusiastic and positive reaction they have
received, the BOOMSHINE boys are quick to credit the fact that among
numerous rock bands playing a little country, they are a country band
(that plays a little rock). Their passion for country music is evident within
the first few songs of their bar set, with song choices ranging from classic
Hank Williams to songs by newer artists like Keith Anderson, and even
lesser known Americana artists such as John Prine. The band says they
are soon to begin mixing in a few original songs as well, all of which they
describe as "definitely country . . . all country."

BOOMSHINE is Bobby Branum (drums), Bill Brown (bass), and
Mitch Kimball (guitar). Bobby and Bill are formerly of the band Fyrewater;
Mitch most recently played in local groups Decibel Bros. and Whiskeymouth.
All three are vocalists, which adds to the great variety in their live show.
Bobby's classic country baritone is frequently featured, and rightfully so.
Since Johnny Cash's passing, you won't find anyone who sings that last
low verse of "I Walk The Line" better than Bobby . . . heads turn and jaws drop
every time.

2008 should prove to be a big year for BOOMSHINE. As of this writing,
their calendar is filling fast; most holiday weekends have been scheduled,
including opening for the Bellamy Brothers in Gillette, WY on July 3.
The band will be at the Cottonwood Creek Campground in Vale during
Sturgis Bike Week, and has already been booked for New Year's Eve in
Sundance WY!
